Cancer Treament Centre
This centre offers a complete one stop treatment for cancer patients. It is situated on the lower ground floor of the Tung Shin Hospital in Kuala Lumpur Pudu area. (Location Map). The Centre together with the facilities of Tung Shin Hospital provides a high standard of treatment and patient care. Patients are referred to this Centre from all over the country and come from all walks of life even expatriates from Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, Middle East and Australia. |

If you are referred by a specialist to a specific consultant, you are recommended to check with that particular consultant for an appointment time. Otherwise, you can still walk in during operating hours. Patients are attended to immediately by our consultants and expert staff. Language is not a barrier for our friendly and helpful staff as they are able to handle patients of all races. |

The treatments offered include Radiotherapy, high dose Brachytherapy, Chemotherapy and Hormone Therapy. At CTC there is no hassle or inconvenience as all treatments are done under one roof unlike some hospitals that have to refer their patients elsewhere for HDR Brachytherapy treatment. |

To provide these facilities, the Centre is equipped with 2 linac (for external radiation treatment), 1 Brachytherapy HDR unit (for internal radiation treatment), 1 digital simulator (producing some much clearer pictures than conventional simulator, hence better accuracy and less patient dose), 1 computer planning system.

There is no waiting list - patients can start treatment promptly, usually on the same day after consulting our oncologists Dr Tan Meng Kuan or Dr Lam Kai Seng, and after the necessary investigations. Those who need a more complicated treatment method will start their treatment on the next day.

There is also no cancellation of treatment. We are the only centre in Klang Valley that will not cancel patients' treatment due to machine break down as we have 2 linear accelerators. All other private centres have to their send patients home should problems crop up with their machine. The cancellation can sometimes be as long as 1 week.

Patients are advised to bring along their I.C., referral letter (if any) and diagnostic history and results (i.e. x-ray, CT scans, MRI scans etc.)

Being a charitable organization, our prices are cheaper than other private centres. Listed below is our price list for Radiation Treatment
Palliative: RM1,000 - RM1,400
Radical: RM3,000 - RM4,200
(Note : Price quoted above is not inclusive of doctor's fee, chemotherapy & medication)
